Cloud Imperium Announces New 20 Vs 20 Mode ‘Theatres Of War’ For Star Citizen
In the recent event of Citizen Con 2949, the developers of Star Citizen, Cloud Imperium recently released a lot of information regarding the game.
Star Citizen is now in its Alpha 3.7 version. Whenever a new feature gets developed, the developers add it to the alpha mode for trying out.
The game Star Citizen receives new 20 vs. 20 mode Theatres Of War – announced during Citizen Con 2949.
As stated by the developers, ‘Theatres of War is a brand new objective-based game mode within Star Machine where the key focus is the use of combined arms’.
The game featured the notorious gang ‘The Supreme’ battling it out with an elite Advocacy squad. The setting of this game is a stronghold for The Supreme and Advocacy wants them to be removed.
The Supreme would prefer to destroy everything rather than giving it to Advocacy. The gang has planned to do this by activating a mining laser orbiting in space.
The game comprised of three phases and the players has to compete with it via FPS, land vehicle battles, and space fighting. All of these phases are played seamlessly to fulfill the main objective.
The first phase of the game is a team-based first-person shooter match. The users have to work together to navigate through the bunkers, landing strips, and the other cosmic infrastructure.
The goal of the game is to take over the base and disable all of its anti-aircraft turrets.
The second phase of the game features the players driving around the entire map, defeating the enemies, and utilizing the FPS mechanics. The players will be allowed to use different vehicles for attacking purposes, including ground tank-like machines to flying, and highly agile vehicles. The teams will also have to focus on primary objects like destroying the radar tower.
The space ships will be brought into phase three. These ships will be used by the players to bring down the ships of the other teams as well as destroying a mining laser. The players will have to take a flight to reach the space and then do whatever they can to complete the mission.
Fans do not have to worry about the developers turning away from finishing the game as it is a well-balanced game; Cloud Imperium has worked pretty hard on FPS, land vehicles, and space ships. The new updates were already developed and thus the developers were able to make the game mode faster.
It will be exciting to see how the Theatre of War performs in the alpha mode of Star Citizen.
