Actor Danny Masterson Accused Of Three Rape Charges Says He Will Be Discharged From The Allegations

      

 

 

 

 

Danny Masterson, the former That 70’s Show star has finally countered to the rape charges against him through his attorney, Tom Mesereau after police arrested the actor on Wednesday morning. Reports have it that Masterson was arrested by the Los Angeles police after he accused of three counts of rape by force or fear and his bond was set at $3.3 million.

Masterson bonded out only three hours after he was taken into custody.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Mesereau stated that Mr. Masterson is completely innocent and that they all are quite confident that he will be exonerated when all the evidence finally comes to light and witnesses have the opportunity to testify. He also added that Mr. Masterson and his wife are in complete shock post-hearing such allegations considering that some twenty-year-old allegations are suddenly cropping up and resulting in charges being filed.

Mesereau further stated that Masterson and his family are relieved with the fact that at some point the truth will come out and the people who know the actor and his character well know that all such allegations are false.

As per Jackie Lacey, who is the Los Angeles County District Attorney, Masterson’s arraignment is scheduled for September 18 at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center in LA.

As has been noted in the DA’s press release, that Masterson has been accused of raping a 23-year-old woman between January and December 2001. In April 2003, Masterson had been accused of raping a 28-year-old woman, which was sometime between October and December. And then again in that same year, he was charged with allegedly raping a 23-year-old woman, whom he had invited to his home in the Hollywood Hills.

Deputy District Attorney, Reinhold Mueller of the Sex Crimes Division is the one who is prosecuting Masterson’s case and according to him, all the alleged crimes have taken place at the actor’s home. If in the future, Masterson is convicted then he must be prepared to face a maximum sentence of forty-five years to life in prison.

All these allegations have followed Danny Masterson, who is a practicing Scientologist for years now and some have even accused the Church of Scientology to guard things up and lock Masterson from facing any charges.

As per reports, the Los Angeles police have been investigating the several claims made against Danny Masterson since 2017.

Masterson is most popular for playing the role of Steven Hyde on That 70’s Show between 1998 and 2006. He also starred on the Netflix series The Ranch along with Ashton Kutcher. Masterson is married to actress Bijou Phillips since 2011.
