United States’ attempt at negotiation with Iran over Tehran’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs failed as the Supreme Leader of the country, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed the deal on Friday.

He also insisted the Iranians to defy U.S pressures in a speech broadcasted live on television. He exclaimed that America aims to destroy Iran’s economy through its brutal sanctions on the country’s oil export. He also claimed that the U.S. wants to limit their influences in the region and stop their missile and nuclear capabilities.

He advised that by cutting their dependence on oil exports and encouraging national capabilities will help them overpower America’s pressure.

Since the U.S. President Donald Trump canceled a treaty between Iran and six world powers in 2018, under which Iran agreed to cut down on its nuclear program in exchange for America lifting its oil-exporting ban, the relationship between the two countries have worsened immensely.

After the reinforcement of the ban, Tehran’s economy has suffered extremely due to a high decrease in oil export. In order to lift the sanction, Washington now suggests a much wider negotiation with Iran cutting down its nuclear work, completely stop its missile program, and limit the Islamic Republic’s regional influence.
