Carrie Fisher and Eddie Fisher

Exclusive! Eddie Fisher, father to Carrie and Todd, kept a big secret from them which originated in 1965.

(ProNewsReport Editorial):- Los Angeles, California Apr 14, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – The infamous Hollywood crooner and actor, Eddie Fisher, was also known as a proud father to daughter, Carrie and son, Todd.

Little did his children know their father had kept a big secret from them which originated in 1965. Eddie enlisted his longtime close friend and celebrity seer to the stars, John Cohan, to eventually share the truth of his shocking secret with Todd.

Eddie was born on August 10, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his career sky-rocketed in 1949 after Eddie Cantor heard him perform at Grossinger’s Catskill Resort Hotel. Eddie was an instant hit after performing on Cantor’s radio show and gained nationwide exposure which led to a recording contract with RCA Victor. He had a fabulous career of hit records and films.

Eddie’s hidden secret goes way back to 1965. Eddie, now divorced from Elizabeth Taylor, was in a relationship with Majanou, his beautiful French girlfriend and a Jean Seberg lookalike. They had a baby son, Alain, so truly Majanou hoped for marriage to Eddie, but he would not commit.

Eddie was in New York City one day and his path crossed with Connie Stevens. Reporter Peter Brandt encouraged him to have dinner with the actress/singer making her Broadway debut in Neil Simon’s ‘The Star-Spangled Girl.

Eddie and Connie had previously met in 1964 while performing together on The Hollywood Palace. Connie was fascinated by Eddie and wasted no time in luring him to her hotel suite at the Plaza Hotel. Their torrid affair began. “Soon afterwards, Connie became pregnant with Joely and demanded that Eddie marry her. She was so desperate to have Eddie’s baby, that she would go to her doctor for urine shots to prevent a miscarriage,” stated John Cohan.

Due to her pregnancy, Connie walked out on Neil Simon, who regretted casting her in ‘The Star-Spangled Girl’ in the first place. Neil said, “Connie could not carry the show and the audience in the fourth row had to lean over to even hear her squeaky voice!”

“Eddie said dreadful Connie was the pushiest woman and worst out of the five women he had been with. Elizabeth Taylor was the love of his life, and his longest marriage was with Betty Chin. His heart longed for Majanou and their son, but she cut off all contact with Eddie as soon as the media circus with Connie began. Majanou hated Eddie for it. She hated him, didn’t put his name on Alain’s birth certificate and never spoke to him or allowed him to see Alain again. He was heartbroken,” said John Cohan.

Eddie also confided to John he felt targeted and entrapped into a relationship by Connie, then ‘man-handled’ to marry her or else. He finally acquiesced and was miserable with Connie from day one. By 1968, they had two baby girls, but their union didn’t last.

In 1969, Eddie had enough and walked out on Connie with two babies in her arms. Connie heard on the radio Eddie filed for divorce prior to taking the stage in The Persian Room at the Plaza Hotel for a performance. John Cohan saw her backstage and stated, “Connie was a train wreck that night and in the many days to follow.”

The presence of Dr. Feelgood aka Dr. Max Jacobson, in Eddie’s life led to drug addiction. Although ultimately Eddie’s life would end on September 22, 2010, after complications from hip surgery, he never forgot what his son, Todd, meant to him and for the truth he wanted Todd to know.

Eddie spoke to John Cohan before he became ill and said, “Promise me a Jewish father’s wish that you will cultivate a friendship with my son, Todd. When you feel the time is right, then tell him the truth about the brother he never knew he had!”

Todd was grateful to know the truth and a proud Jewish father’s wishes were carried out by his cherished friend, celebrity seer John Cohan.
