The largest youth volunteer group ‘We Are One’ launched in Korea

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony launched a youth volunteer group with 90,000 people, the largest number in the country, and running an unprecedented volunteer activity of a group blood donation by 70,000 people

(ProNewsReport Editorial):- Chicago, Illinois Aug 3, 2022 ( – In this regard, Shincheonji Church of Jesus held a launch ceremony for the youth volunteer group ‘We Are One’ at The-K Hotel convention center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul on July 30, with more than 1,000 representatives of the volunteer group and distinguished guests from various fields. The 90,000 volunteers who were not able to attend also joined through a live broadcast.

The inauguration ceremony is comprised of 2 parts:

Part 1 opening ceremony (performance, opening remarks, national ritual, greetings, congratulatory speech) 

Part 2 inauguration ceremony (commemorative video, declaration of inauguration, inauguration speech, special performance, commemorative photo shoot).

To commemorate its launch, We Are One plan to begin its 3-month life-sharing volunteer work with a ‘blood donation campaign’ on August 27 with the world’s largest number of 70,000 people (domestic) simultaneously participating at each blood center located in 17 metropolitan governments including Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and Daegu.

Jae-yong Eom, the president of the southern Seoul blood center of the Korean Red Cross, who gave the congratulatory speech, stated, “Congratulations on the launch of the Shincheonji youth volunteer group We Are One. We Are One volunteer group is a social volunteer group consisting of 90,000 domestic and foreign youth members belonging to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus (70,000 domestic and 20,000 overseas). It has 12 domestic branches and young people from 75 countries including the USA, UK, France, and Germany. 

In addition to blood donation, We Are One established an activity plan to take the lead in solving national challenges and global crises by practicing love for the community and neighbors, focusing on the four core areas of volunteer support, creating a sustainable environment, world peace, and education.

The inauguration ceremony was limited to attendees who tested negative for COVID-19 the day before and on the same day and conducted in compliance with quarantine rules such as the mandatory wearing of a mask, hand disinfection, and temperature measurement before entering, maintaining distance between people, and periodic ventilation. In addition, medical staff accompanied the event so that immediate action could be taken in case of an emergency.
