Continuously advancing her efforts, Dr. Asztalos is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She also serves on the editorial board for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, with a focus on social media.

In her professional experience, she began her career as the solo Dermatologist at Aurora Healthcare in Lake Geneva where she served as a clinician and active educator. She worked with medical students and resident physicians and trained them in dermatology. She has published research in several top peer-reviewed journals and authored several book chapters. She has also given many oral presentations at the American Academy of Dermatology and World Congress of Dermatology meetings.
