He joined Piedmont Cancer Institute in 2003 and now serves as the President. He currently sees patients at their offices in Atlanta and Stockbridge, Georgia.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Mininberg graduated with his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the same educational venue. He then went on to complete his fellowship in hematology at Baylor University, and his fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

While at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, he was honored with the Elsa U. Pardee Foundation Grant for Community Oncology. As a fellow in 2003, he was awarded the American Society of Clinical Oncology Merit Award.

Happily married, he and his wife have two children. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and playing with his large friendly rescue retriever mix, Nickel.
