Two times champion Indian cricket team gave a brilliant start to ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales after a long wait. Virat Kohli and his team played against the Faf du Plessis-led South Africa. Some of their players couldn’t play due to injuries.

However, the men in Blue gave a desirable start to this World Cup. They won by 6 wickets in chase of 228 runs. Kohli has termed this win as ‘professional win’ with plenty of impressive individual performance for the side.

During the post-match presentation, Kohli said that after a long time they played a game like this which is completely challenging throughout. He also said that it was important to start this ICC World Cup with the right note. They might not have the run rate but it was quite challenging for them the way the game went and the pitch behaved.
