Mandate of Heaven DLC, Recently Released by Total War: Three Kingdoms, Attracts Positive Review

Soon after the recent 1.4 release which ushered in the much-required faction and unit rebalancing comes the upcoming chapter (or the earlier one, chronologically) in China’s turbulent times that can be played in great strategic detail in Total War: Three Kingdoms from the developers Creative Assembly. The mandate of the latest DLC Heaven has readily garnered much appreciation. Total War: Three Kingdoms Just Released Mandate Of Heaven DLC To Positive Review.

The DLC is undoubtedly the largest Three Kingdoms DLC yet and presents the height of the Yellow Turban Rebellion which is often projected as evil across a wide range of media. China’s rule has been in turmoil for some time, with corruption foiling any type of progress coming from the Emperor’s court, and northern China being victimised by a massive famine, thus leaving a majority of the population in the belief that Emperor Ling has lost the Mandate of Heaven, which happens to be the designation of supernatural rule.

Three brothers, who all happen to be followers of Taoism, head the Yellow Turbans. They are tired of coming across death and ravage at each and every glance. Thus, they visualise a stronger China where there is peace and unanimity will take the place of the corrupt and arguing crowd at the Emperor’s court, and buckle up for a final showdown against the Emperor.

Obviously, the Emperor still possesses his title, and as a result has several men under his rule and banner. Although all the gamers out there are aware that the Yellow Turban Rebellion (which gets its name from the yellow turbans generally worn by those who wanted to bring peace in China by using war) was snipped in yet another cruel chapter in the history books of China (which might serve to explain the very evil nature of them in media). However, avid gamers now have the opportunity to rewrite China’s history to bring it to a new present.

The DLC starts before the onset of the base game, and makes room for the gamers to fight for their chosen side in the upheaval. Although a huge swarm would definitely surround the Emperor to take his side, it would definitely be apt to abdicate while the armies are still in the process of tackling the rebellion.

The Han dynasty is playable, full of all the politicians and scholars that are trying hard to seize whatever power they can for the amelioration of China in their point of view, besides the Yellow Turban Rebellion. With extraordinary mechanisms entering the realm with the Yellow Turban Rebellion, an overwhelming number of heroes and champions to bring for the fame of China, this is definitely the best DLC experienced by Total War: Three Kingdoms till now.

In case Creative Assembly can retain the superlative content releasing in future as well, the hearsay pertaining to the internal trouble may be left there itself. It is seriously unfortunate that this DLC was not the first one to be released.
