Michael Davincii Talks About His Thoughts And Real-Life Experiences In His Popular Podcast

Podcasts are the best way to convey your message to the world. Proving the point right, a rising podcaster from Pennsylvania, Michael Davincii is spreading his positive energy to his listeners through his highly popular D. A.M.N. Podcast, also known as Don’t Ask Me Nothin Podcast. He has given us some time off his busy schedule to do this interview. He answers some of the most significant questions about his podcast and himself.

Hello Michael Davincii! Congratulation on the success of your D. A.M.N. Podcast! And thank you for doing this interview with us. Let’s get started:

1. Tell us a few things about yourself and why do you go by the name Michael Davincii?

I got the name Michael Davincii from my boy Sean Julian who thought it be a good rap name and I kind of kept it to the point I introduce myself to people as Michael Davincii. How old are you and what did you do before podcasting? I like to keep my age to myself my following dreads the fact that they don’t know my age but I’m young as hell. But before this, I use to style celebrities I worked in high-end retail barneys and Saks then started my own men’s fashion consultant business.

2. When did you first start doing it and what is the reason that inspired you to start it?

I first started doing this literally 1 month in on covid lockdown in 2020. However there;s2 reasons why though. One of my best friends Sean had to hook me on to podcasting before I even thought about a podcast or knew what it was. I would chill with him and his friends and we would have these drunken deep conversations at a bar called Jakes on 23rd street and we’d be the loudest group in there but everyone would love my point of view and personality because I am very animated and flamboyant. After long drunk nights I would crash at his place and he would put on Everyday Struggle with Joe Buddens, Akademiks, and Nedeska every morning that I would crash there and I was hooked on it. So thank you Sean! Secondly, my other best friend Segal a couple of years later introduced me to a podcast called Call Her Daddy right before Covid and I knew then at that moment that this is what I wanna do.

3. Which podcasters influence you the most and how do you utilize their influences in your work?

Joe Buddens Podcast when it had Mal and Rorey, and Call Her Daddy when it was Sofia Franklyn and Alex Cooper. Whoreable Decisions. I enjoy Joe Buddens because he is unapologetically controversial and loves being the bad guy and owns it. As for call her daddy I related to them more in a sexually liberated way because as a gay man I seem to run into the same issues as they did when it comes to dating guys in new York who are considered high value and the sexual trauma that comes with it. As for Whoreable Decisions I love that they talk about sex and make it comfortable for black people to have those conversations about being sexually adventurous

4. We learned that you have fans all over the world. How does it feel to impact people in faraway countries?

Great. I get a lot of love from Africa, Europe, and Australia. Also, it’s major that a lot of the African countries that I get listens from being homosexual is still illegal, so that’s major that people are risking their lives to listen to me

5. Which types of topics do you cover in your D. A.M.N. Podcast?

I cover the different subjects within my podcast like nightlife, interracial relationships, race issues, sex life, being exposed to party drugs, relationships with wealthy established men, and finding myself in this fast city. How do the episodes influence the audience?  They have a sense of identity when I speak with them. I come from a conservative religious background which is a majority of gay men, especially black gay men. They’re looking for representation and someone to be able to relate to. I represent 2 different generations of gays and I’m willing to be vulnerable and honest about my trials and errors and finding the solutions.

6. What is the main objective of the podcast episodes and why do you think they are so popular among fans?

My main objection it’s to be the gay representation for people of color as well as filling in that gap between gays and straight people. My listeners love that I’m very RAW and vulnerable I’m not putting on a “Look at me Now I came from Adidas to Givenchy” I give them the when I was 22 I was willing to sell myself on Grindr if I had to pay the rent because I can make a quick $500 in a couple of hours. I’m just real.

7. Do you have guests on your episodes tell us a few names of such guests.?

I do I have popular people who are in the gay scene like Diego Miyake Mugler from HBO’s Legendary, a Latina Social Media influencer Maya Santana, I also wanna promote good health and real-life experiences so I will be having doctors, US Soldiers, CEO’s, Realtors and things of that nature but other than them just educating the community they are being real about their experience.

8. What is your personal experience of doing the podcast? How are you enjoying it?

This is a fun experience but very tiring, I always get the motivation and topics at the wrong time like when I’m in the gym or on the train. It’s also not cheap for these mics headphones to create my studio because I don’t want to go to a studio and spend money. Trust me it is fun but draining.

9. Is your podcast only intended for the homosexual audience?

I think a better term is LGBTQA. It’s intended to open the minds of all people. I have a mixed audience. I educate both gays and straight individuals.  I am shaking the boundaries of the hetero norm making the people who made me uncomfortable all my life, I can now do it to them by giving them education and talking about subjects that make them uneasy which means I’m triggering a phobia and insecurity that you should look into.

10. What are your plans for the future? What can we expect from you in the upcoming months?

Growing the podcast and becoming the most viewed sex and relationships podcast. Seeing my image on the billboard in time square. What you should expect very soon is videography. I have my boy Rain working on that side. This hard work will pay off. In a couple of months ill be looking for investors.

11. Any message you would like to give to your fans and newcomer podcasters?

Be prepared to Laugh, Cry, and be educated. This is not a GAY PODCAST it is a podcast that talks about Gay Issues, better yet People Issues. We are pass labels we are humans who have jobs, eat, sh*t, sleep, have families, and etc. Feel free to reach out to me on my Twitter or Instagram @michaeldavincii or Instagram @michael.davincii and connect with me and ask questions,
