The author started writing the collection of poems while still being a lieutenant in the army and continued writing and reflecting on her experiences throughout her reserve duty in the army. The collection of contemporary poetics comes from the talented young author’s real-life experiences of seeing wars in different stages of her life. She had witnessed the tough and dangerous times of war and the irregular life since she was a child, throughout her career as a soldier, and as a commander, and now through her motherhood. The inspiration behind the collection of poetries comes from her first-hand experiences of hearing explosions, seeing rockets launch and land on rooftops, people being injured, and buildings collapsing. The author brilliantly took all these horrific experiences and penned down some of the most real and heart-wrenching poetry pieces.
