YouTube has the largest and fastest growing audience from India

Among the video streaming platform, YouTube is one of the popular sites. On Tuesday, YouTube informed that 85% of the users accessed through mobile in India.  Citing ComScore YouTube’s CEO Susan Wojcicki announced that YouTube has more than 265 million active users from India till January 2019 report. Last year the numbers of users were around 225 million. Within 11 years this platform has earned huge popularity.

YouTube Global Chief executive Susan said that India has 265 million of active users which made this country one of the biggest and the fastest growing markets in the world. Whether it is entertainment or informative YouTube is the first-stop content consumption. The track performs perfectly and drives personalized engagement.

There are 265 million active users. As a whole YouTube is much ahead of the GEC. Wojcicki in an annual YouTube event Brand cast India said that in the past year alone YouTube consumption on the mobile has almost increased by 85 percent. Mobile consumption was almost around 73 percent last year.

Wojcicki said that YouTube is an effective storyteller with over 1,200 Indian creators that crossed one million subscriber-milestones. If you see the scenario of the last five years there were only two creators with a million subscribers on the platform.

In 2018 YouTube has launched its first original music based show ‘Arrived’ commented that they would be launching many of original content that would be the ad-supported in the country. According to media buying agency GroupM, digital accounted for almost 18 percent of the entire media spend in 2018, among which the digital video was only 6% of the total Adex.

Wojcicki informed that YouTube has brought YouTube music to the country in the last month. It has achieved 3miullion users in this platform in the first week. She even said that today in India many people day by day are using videos for entertainment as well as learning. By 2020, it expected 500 million Internet users will consume video online.

YouTube’s global music head Lyor Cohen Said that they are incredibly excited to tie up with Indian artists and labels to develop faster and go further.
