The Resolution Is Switched To4k From Classic With Conquering And Remastered Command

The remastered version of Command and Conquer gameplay has been teased by EA. It is not like the other games who are given the same treatment, the development was taken by the studio to another level altogether.

There is a choice where the sense of nostalgia is very appealing and the game is enjoyed in the way it is played as Remastered Command & Conquer Allows You To Switch Resolution. Reddit post gives a clear indication of this, where there is a shift in the graphics to the setting of ultra HD to the classic model. The producer of EA, Jim Vessella has shared this post.

The most important question of the fans is answered by Command and Conquer Remastered, where a teaser comes in the post. Questions have been asked to EA in a deluge regarding the transformation of remastered in either 3D or 2D.

So, why both are not considered.

According to him, the version has been started to be developed in the classic style of 320×200 as authenticity is the main thing. It should be remembered by fans that it is a remaster of the project and is not a remake version. Homage to the original version is paid with the direction as much as it is possible to be done. It has been a great help with Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert which are Command and Conquer’s source code. The overall look is matched with the gameplay of the series, signature, and feel.

The graphics had a choice to be updated, but according to them to represent the game in the best way possible with the help of 2D.

Regarding the Command and Conquer Remastered there has been a partnership between Petroglyph Games and Lemon Sky Studios along with EA. Starting from the ground up the gameplay assets are remodeled, reanimated and recreated by Lemon Sky which was given the task to do it.

Exporting and rendering the output is done to send it to 2D. Lining up of the frames is done with the help of original images. The process is time-consuming. For example, more than 600 frames are lined up by Grenadier for a single unit.

An extra benefit is offered by the source code as with a push of a button toggling in real-time is done between 4K and 2D. To relieve the childhood memories you can play with 320×200 and to see the glorious details you can switch to 4k. The smallest details can be zoomed in 3840×2160 as an example. In the remastered games of the present day, these are absent.

The toggle switch is used by the developers to play and the option is enjoyed very much. Toggling is also enjoyed by fans between 2D and 4k according to Vessella who is very much confident. The game’s veterans, who for the very first time playing the C&C, the smooth toggle is enjoyed by them.

In July 2019, the Alpha Phase was entered by the Command and Conquer Remastered. The release date has not been announced yet by EA for the game.
