President-Elect Joe Biden Fractures Foot While Playing With His Dog, Likely To Wear Boots
According to the latest reports, President-elect Joe Biden has reportedly fractured his right foot while playing with one of his dogs. In a scan conducted on Sunday, an injury was spotted that would likely require him to wear a boot for several weeks now, the doctor said.
It was on Saturday when Biden suffered the injury and on Sunday he visited an orthopedist in Newark, Delaware, his office stated.
Biden’s doctor Kevin O’Connor said in a statement that the initial x-rays did not spot any obvious fracture but the medical staff ordered a further more detailed CT scan. O’Connor said that the subsequent scan found tiny fractures of two small bones in the middle of his right foot.
He also added that it is anticipated that he would likely require wearing a boot for several weeks now.
Fractures happen to be a general concern amongst people of the elder age group but Biden appears to be a relatively milder one as can be derived from his doctor’s statement and the planned treatment. At the age of 78, Biden is likely to be the oldest President when he would be inaugurated in January. However, he was often seen dismissing questions related to his age during the campaign.
Despite their multiple requests, the reporters who were covering the president-elect were not afforded the chance to see Biden enter the doctor’s office on Sunday. But while leaving the doctor’s office to head to an imaging center for his CT scan, Joe Biden was visibly limping, even though he walked without a crutch or any other aid.
Biden sustained the injury while he was playing with one of his dogs named Major. They had reportedly adopted Major in 2018 and acquired their first dog Champ after the 2008 election. As per the reports, the Biden’s have stated that they shall be bringing their dogs to the White House and also plan to get a cat.
It was in last December that he had released a doctor’s report that disclosed that Biden takes a statin to keep his cholesterol at healthy levels. However, his doctor described him as a healthy, fit, and vigorous person to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.
