As, Liquid CEO Steve Arhancet announces the moving forward of the team with Tactical to replace Doublelift, who left to join TSM, the team now doesn’t need to look for its new starting ADC. Fans are curious, due to the breaking down of Team Liquid’s new ADC: “Tactical” ahead of Summer Spring Split 2020.

Tactical will be getting his first shot at playing in the LCS for full time. For three games, he subbed in for Doublelift, when the legendary ADC player was sitting at the bench for his poor performance and a lack of motivation. With this, the organization got the chance of trying out the 19-year-old, who has brought a spark to the team filled with players like Impact, Broxah, Jensen, and CoreJJ. But, he has to fill immense shoes, since his former one did achieve many accomplishments during his time on Liquid.

Doublelift had helped Liquid in winning its first LCS title, the first of four straight. He was also awarded the LCS MVP in the 2018 Summer split, LCS Finals MVP in Spring 2019, and First-Team All-Pro in three straight splits (Summer 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019).

In spite of these achievements, he was dropped in the 2020 Spring Split. He also addressed a number of issues that ultimately led to the prolific ADC’s departure from Liquid.

TL cannot expect the same from Tactical from the very beginning. But, the inclusion of Tactical makes pretty sense, backed up by some very strong reasons. The fans can expect something good out of him.

Tactical showcased his skills in his short LCS stint alongside CoreJJ, showing synergy between the pair and against strong competition like Cody Sun and Kobbe. During those three games, Tactical had a 5.5 KDA, which had placed him at the fourth-best for an ADC in the LCS, as well as going deathless in two wins for the team.

His first game in LCS was against TSM and it was a winning game as well, laning opposite of Kobbe and Biofrost. Tactical had held an 800 gold lead at 15 minutes. Tactical rotated well with the team to play around objectives, something Liquid struggled within a lot of games during the Spring Split.

Against 100 Thieves, CoreJJ and Tactical got an early kill in a two-VS-two fight and secured the bot tower at the 12-minute mark. This game showed that he was not afraid to skirmish for wins.

His last game as a sub saw CLG focus ganks and roams to the bot lane, not allowing Tactical to get going. However, Tactical was swift and able to secure the first strike on a bad tower dive and also ended up six CS behind Oh ‘Wind’ Myeong-jin, who had subbed in for Stixxay.

Having already played with the team and also practicing along and against the actual squad, it is an easy choice for the team. And, due to the travel restrictions for COVID-19 pandemic, practicing more is certainly the safest option, with which he can build chemistry with other players ahead of the real games.

He has also been practicing a lot of duo queue with CoreJJ, which will certainly help them in building trust and synergy.

Tactical is certainly not the best ADC in the arena; he is still young and will grow with time and get more skilled and experienced. The fans can only wait and witness him developing his skills, as he might become the next Doublelift.
