Drummer and vocalist Dave Grohl said that he was convinced about his death coming soon when he was only 11 years old.

The time was around the 1980s when terms like Armageddon, nuclear-winter, mutual destruction, etc were part of daily life like the lockdown and quarantine nowadays.

While growing up close to the Pentagon and the White House, Grohl went through some deadly realizations. He explained, “if there was a war, we would be the first people to die”.

The artist said, “I would have these dreams of missiles in the sky and soldiers in my back yard.”

He further added, “I vividly remember a dream where I was standing in my back yard and I saw a soldier come out from behind a tree and, as I turned to run back to my bedroom, I was shot in the back.”

The artist told that “So I just always imagined that there was going to be a war and that’s how I would die at 11 or 12 years old.”

David became the drummer of Nirvana who is also the frontman of the band Foo Fighters. He is also a well-revered documentary maker and one of the greatest idols of Rock and roll music.

In the year 2019, the devastating dreams of war came back with the artist’s daughter Harper’s unusual question, “Dad, is there going to be a war?”

The hopeless realization was immediately penned down and thus the track ‘Waiting On A War’ was created. The song is about finding light in the darkness.

Back in 1994, Grohl turned back from music after the grief-stricken death news Kurt Cobain from suicide. After a six months-long period of heartbreak and lost period from the musical journey, the artist finally comes back to the industry.

He came to a realization that “Music had been saving my life my entire life, and that’s what I needed most now.”

The artist is currently looking forward to the 10th album by the Foo Fighters, titled ‘Medicine at Midnight’. The album is scheduled to release on 5th February.

It will be consisting the track ‘Waiting On A War’ along with the latest chartbuster ‘Shame Shame’ and many other tracks.
