Fun Plus Phoenix Knocked Off G2 Esports To Win The Worlds Championship 2019

After a dominant game, Fun Plus Phoenix has won the League of Legends World Championship 2019 over G2 Esports. The competitive season has now come to an end, and this is the second time when the LPL representatives have secured their championship title for the LPL.

The game one saw Nautilus, which was an extremely well-founded pick by Fun Plus Phoenix. The choice had secured them three wins in the previous series which was against the former World Champions, Invictus Gaming. The G2 Esports acknowledged a Ryze/ Varus pickup, which are the two champions that Fun Plus Phoenix defeated during the Worlds. And, FPX summed up their rivalry by setting standard picks for their players, whereas G2 picked a Pyke mid, which hasn’t been seen for quite some time now.

The early game which had the invaded and roams from Tian and Doinb proved to be fatal for Wunder and was in favor of Fun Plus Phoenix. Wunder was repeatedly punished as and when he came to the lane.

Though Jankos tried to respond, it was already too late and he was being read like an open diary. Due to the pressure on the top lane, the pair Doinb and Tian started looking for priority in the mid lane and started roaming to the duo bot lane to kill Drakes.

In the meanwhile, Fun Plus Phoenix kept securing drakes and barons one after the other while G2 Esports tried to stand and look for some added advantage.

However, G2 Esports failed to win the first game, as Sivir who reached the full build became an unstoppable force did not succumb to the power of the Phoenix.

The game two saw the return of Gragas by G2 who was banned in the previous match by FPX. The FPX responded with two infamous picks namely Ryza and Kai’sa. On the other hand, G2 picked Yasuo for the Yasuo/ Gragas bot lane and Akali top lane. Lee Sin was chosen by FPX in the jungle again for their top laner and support.

The early game, however, seemed like a replica of game one, where FPX’s jungler, Tian, pushed his advantage and forced Jankos to move back from his Jungle camps. Tian, on the other hand, secured his priority in the jungle and with the help of Doinb, he started helping the side lanes as well.

G2 Esports tried to hold on to their positions and push off other lanes whereasFPX focused all resources into another but were unsuccessful. The G2 Esports lost at the 26th-minute mark given that Ryze and Kai’sa, the hyper carry monsters were getting fed early.

The third game saw the return of Xayah, being picked by FPX, which was reportedly banned in the first two matches. G2 Esports answered with Ryze and Nautilus, who secured their star picks from Fun Plus Phoenix. Fun Plus Phoenix chose Gankplank and Lee Sin, which were earlier played by them to reach great success, and on the other hand, G2 Esports belted their competition with Ezreal, Veigar, and Jarvan.

Tian started on his top side jungle and immediately went for an invade afterward, by denying Jankos his jungle camps early on while his laners secured his priority in the mid-top lanes. By keeping a constant watch on Jankos, the laners of Fun Plus Phoenix started to play aggressively on the lanes by pushing every small advantage which they had. This situation led to the claiming of all early drakes and Herald, which went on to roll out the game out the control of G2 Esports.

The Fun Plus Phoenix was leading, by being ahead in the farm, drakes, barons, towers, and inhibitors. They had all the advantages stored up in their team and hence did not feel any pressure at all and further went to win through GE Esports, who continued to fight till the last minute.

The Fun Plus Phoenix finally secured its top position and went on to win the First League of Legends World Championship.

Tian, who was the MVP of the series, had completely shut down Jankos in the early games of all the three matches and secured their priority and vision for his laners.

Tian marked his presence everywhere, and every move and every play attempted by GE Esports was shut down by the Star jungler player of Fun Plus Phoenix, Tian.

Where all the bets were on Doinb to pull of the game along with his team, what everyone failed to notice was the caliber other teammates had to carry out the game.

The match concludes the 2019 competitive season for League of Legends, with the Leagues of Legends Season of 2020 coming in spring. Gamers can now expect to receive additional information regarding the game play changes and roster swaps in the upcoming weeks.
