Capitol Riot: Democrats Go After Trump’s Removal Before Biden Takes Over

Trump’s biggest opponents in Congress have suggested removing him instantly for the recent vandalism. If he doesn’t cooperate, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that he might be impeached.

His supporters violated the rules by invading Capitol violently and Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer said Mr. Trump gave enough shock and he should be removed without wasting any minute.

Removal is a complicated procedure that requisites Republican support. There is not enough support to back up his removal.

The president announced to form a new administration on 20 January and it will be “healing and reconciliation”.

The mobs were “outraged by the violence, lawlessness, and mayhem” on Wednesday and the frenzied act caught him by surprise. He said that “tempers must be cooled and calm restored”. He shared this video on his Twitter account. His Twitter account was reactivated on Thursday after he was suspended after the Capitol riot.

So far, four people have lost their lives in the recent pandemonium and 68 people were taken to custody.

Police service is being scrutinized because they failed miserably to stop the riot to jeopardize the decorum of the Capitol.

The officer who was in charge of security in the House of Representatives has resigned. US Capitol Police (USCP) chief Steven Sund is about to resign on 16 January.

The riot started because hundred of trump supporters gathered when he called them to the Capitol. the mob trashed the officers and created chaos inside. Due to the riot, the vote got postponed for some hours.

One lady from the mob was shot and died and the other three men died from a medical emergency.

Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown stated that it was “a dark day for our country.” He urged to remove Trump from office “to prevent him from doing more damage” before Biden takes the chair.

“Domestic terrorists attacked our seat of government, at the behest of the President of the United States,” said Brown. “This was his last, desperate attempt to overturn the will of the American voters, but he failed, and democracy won. We must hold the president accountable for inciting this attack on our country.”

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday wrote that the president “revealed that he is not mentally sound and is still unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revoked, “In calling for this seditious act, the president has committed an unspeakable assault on our nation and our people. If the vice president and Cabinet do not act, the Congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment.”

Elected president Joe Biden stated, “Nobody could tell me that if it was a group of Black Lives Matter protesters yesterday they wouldn’t have been treated very differently than the thugs that stormed the Capitol.”

After the chaos, a large group of people urged to remove Trump as president, and some Republicans voiced for it.
