Serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 2002, German restaurant Speisekammer, located in Alameda, celebrates their 20th Anniversary this upcoming June.

(ProNewsReport Editorial):- Alameda, California Jun 1, 2022 (Issuewire.com) – On June 5, 2022, German restaurant Speisekammer (www.Speisekammer.com), will be celebrating its 20th year in Alameda, an enviable milestone for a business in this industry.

Speisekammer, located at 2424 Lincoln Ave Alameda, opened its doors in October of 2002. Owners Peter & Cindy came with several years of experience and extensive knowledge as business managers in the culinary industry when opening Speisekammer. Peter was a chef from Flensburg, Germany, where he cooked at restaurants in Flensburg and Berlin and got his chef’s certification at the Hotel School in Berlin. Peter was then a chef and partner at Suppenkuche in San Francisco for 8 years until moving over to Alameda to open Speisekammer in 2002. Cindy started as a server, bartender, & bar manager in restaurants and clubs throughout San Francisco and Philadelphia. She took over the historic Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco from 1991 to 2002, creating a great bar & venue for up-and-coming bands, before coming to Speisekammer.

Twenty years later, in the almost-aftermath of a worldwide pandemic, the doors to Speisekammer are still welcoming guests and bringing together the community around their German take on Alameda with European dishes, drinks, and specialties – offering indoor and outdoor seating, takeout, delivery, catering, hosting of private events, and more. Speisekammer has grown to become more than just a restaurant, but also a hub of activity, a gathering place for monumental celebrations and ordinary Wednesday evening outings, a place where many go to watch the Euro Cup or celebrate the holidays and events such as Oktoberfest. The long open doors are a testimony to the dedication of the Speisekammer team and to the community that cherishes it as a local treasure.

To commemorate this milestone, Speisekammer will be hosting their 20th Anniversary Party on Sunday, June 5th from 12 pm-6 pm. Customers will get to celebrate with the Speisekammer team and enjoy live music from Jinx Jones Jazz-A-Billy All-Stars and Mitch Polzak & the Royal Deuces. Additionally, there will be a dance floor, raffles, a special menu exclusive to this event, drinks, and more! Reservation for this event is not required. Peter, Cindy, and the whole staff invite everyone who has supported them and the restaurant over the years to their 20th Anniversary Party, as a way of saying thank you for helping them provide their German take on Alameda for this long.
